Tram Lane Separation
Polite Enterprise’s tram delineation system come in 350 x 55 x 1000 mm sections. The end caps feather down and are approximately 200 mm long by 350 wide. The separation system is fixed to the road, generally to asphalt, via plastic plugs into the asphalt and coach screws to pin down. VicRoads advises the following: 12 fixings per meter, lengths to a maximum of 30 meters to allow for drainage.
Intersections with traffic lights or thoroughfares are to be free of the separation material (so vehicles are not traveling over).
Small T-sections where the vehicle generally turns left to enter into the main road does not require a break in the separation.
